►Competition: Could you design the Union's Christmas card?

This year we are asking students to send these Christmas cards to their MPs telling them that higher fees will not be on their list to Santa, and the winning student’s artwork will be featured in a postcard campaign.
The design should
· Be Christmas or winter themed
· Support one of the following arguments
- Top-Up Fees have not seen the significant improvements in student support and satisfaction that were promised when fees were raised to £3,000 per annum.
- Student Indebtedness is at record levels – with a 2009 starter likely to have to repay on average £23,500 over the course of a three year degree.
- Raising fees will restrict access to Higher Education on the basis of financial rather than academic ability.
There are no restrictions on style – drawings, photography and other forms of artwork are equally welcome and the design can be traditional or contemporary
The size will be a standard A6 postcard size with a 3mm bleed area on all four edges (154mm x 111mm)
Please note we are only seeking a design for the front of the postcard.
Submissions must be in JPEG format (300DPI) will only be accepted via email with a completed Entry Form.
Deadline for Submissions: 2pm on Wednesday 25 November 2009
