Welcome to Brackenhurst, Nottingham Trent University's third campus but by no means the least important. Located near the market town of Southwell, Brackenhurst offers a great student community and is the perfect location for both studies and extra-curicular activities!
The Student Union provides facilities such as the Brack Bar, The Orangery and the Brack Shop all on site. We also provide students with support and activities that are independent of the University, whether its Student Advice or fundraising activities, there's loads of stuff to get involved with.
We also only employ students in all of our facilities, so if you need a bit of extra cash, want to know what's going on and meet everyone on campus, get down to the Union now. All jobs, including those offered by other employers are displayed on the Jobshop section of the website.
Southwell lies only 5 minutes away from Brack and offers a wide range of services all within easy reach. It's the perfect place to bring your parents or just have a wander around when you're not in lectures. Check the Out and About section for the need to knows about the local area and what it has to offer!
If you want to get involved in the running of the Union and the representation of students, the Brackenhurst Committee is here for you! Led by the Brackenhurst Liaison Officer, the Brack Committee has a direct role in the organisation and democracy of the Union at Brackenhurst. See the Brackenhurst Committee page for more.
No other campus offers the peace and tranquillity that Brackenhurst combines with a close-knit and fun loving student community.
Brackenhurst Reception
Firstly we are here to provide information, help, suggestions, directions, phone numbers, copies of the Constitution, faxing, duplicating and much more to students and visitors. Our second role is that of staff support. Keeping track of all the staff, putting calls through to the various offices, sorting mail, maintaining the copiers, ordering central stationery, recharging resources back to the individual departments and processing tasks for individual members of staff. The atmosphere is friendly and we will do our very best to answer any queries you may have, and will always, at the very least, point you in the right direction! For an idea of the services that the Students Union can offer, as well as information on many local events that may be of interest, feel free to pop in.
