Thousands of NTU students ended their year in style at this year's Grad Ball held at Capital FM Arena.
The event, which took place on Saturday 9th June, saw chart-topping artists Ms Dynamite, The Maccabees, Labrinth and Sub Focus all take to the stage for exlusive performances especially for NTU students.
The crowd, dressed in their finest black tie outfits and ball dresses, entered the arena on a red carpet, where they were treated with casino tables, an illuminated chocolate fountain, fun fair stalls, various games and free candyfloss & popcorn. A 'Big Brother' style diary room was available for students to record video messages which ranged from sentimental thoughts about the times had and friends made at university, through to Trent Army style chanting.
The Arena event, which finished at 3am, was followed by an after party in Oceana where students gathered together and enjoyed the last few hours of the academic year, alongside a soundtrack of the biggest anthems of their university days.
Over a thousand people remained in the venue until 6am, many of whom made it into the official survivors photograph. As the end of the night was signalled, groups of students sat on the floor of Oceana in protest chanting "one more song, one more song". The DJ obliged with a final tune to end a remarkable year... "Never Forget where you're coming from" could not be more apt.
