As well as the UPP managed hall blocks, there are also a number of privately managed halls available for rent. Each hall block will have its own pros and cons, so please compare the options available and pick the right one for you. Here is a list of the most popular privately managed accommodation:
Russell View
Description: Brand new student accommodation in a great location comprising of 4, 5 and 6 bed shared flats with en-suite facilities. Each flat includes fully equipped kitchens as well as spacious living areas with a free flat-screen television. Each studio is designed for single occupancy and is designed in a modern way and also comes with a free television.
Location: Russell Street - close to the Arboretum area next to Alfreton Road, with lots of take-aways, convenience shops and taxi companies nearby. Situated 3-5 minutes walk from the nearest tram stop, and around a 5-10 minutes walk from NTU City Campus.
Type of contract: Assured short-hold tenancy
Security: Secure fob activated entry system. CCTV cameras are installed around the property. Access to an on-site management and accommodation office, and there out-of-hours wardens who attend to issues out of office hours.
Cost: 5 and 6 bed shared flats – 44 week contracts - £114 per week, bills are all inclusive. 4 bed shared flats - 44 week contract - £116 per week, bills are all inclusive. Glasshouse
Description: Large hi-specification 670 bedroom student village which opened in 2005, and to be completely refurbished for September 2012, comprising of 2 to 7 bedroom cluster flats, some with en-suite and individual studio & 1 bedroom apartments. Each flat has a hi-spec fully fitted kitchen, shower & WC and each room has a bed, desk, wardrobe and ample storage space.
Location: In the centre of Nottingham, behind the Victoria Centre. The walk into Uni is little over 5 minutes.
Type of contract: Contracts here are short hold tenancy agreements ranging from 48 to 51 week tenancies.
Security: 24 hour security and a secure fob reader door entry system.
Cost: prices from £102.50 per week.

There is now Aldi downstairs which is convenient for shopping and town is extremely close. The only downside is the noise in the courtyard, but this is just because there are so many students having fun!”

Trinity Square
Description: Trinity Square is a prime modern central purpose-built student residence, with 699 en-suite bedrooms in two separate blocks comprising flats and self-contained studios.
Location: Trinity Square is centrally located at the end of Shakespeare Street just 5 minutes walk away from NTU City Campus. Close to all central amenities including a gym and health club with pool.

Victoria Halls
Description: Large student complex, comprising of 602 en-suite bedrooms. Apartments are fully furnished with a communal lounge area and modern conveniences including a fitting kitchen, lounge area and on site laundry facilities.
Location: Within a 10-minute walk from Nottingham Trent University and only a minute’s walk from Nottingham city centre.
Type of contract: Assured Shorthold Tenancy.
Security: There is a secure key fob entry system which allows access via turnstile into your block. There is also 24hr on-site security, CCTV, as well as hall managers during the day.
Cost: All Inclusive from £96.00 per week. No deposit or booking fee.
The Exchange
Description: Large complex, containing a combination of multiple occupancy flats and self contained single occupancy units with kitchen, dining and living room areas. All the rooms have en-suite WC Shower rooms and are furnished with a bed, large desk and wardrobe.
Location: At the bottom of Hockley, about a 15 minute walk to Uni. It is extremely convenient for the City Centre and the Hockley/Lace Market areas.
Type of contract: Assured Shorthold Tenancy.
Security: Key fob entry system, with concierge during the evening and Office Manager during the daytime.
Cost: From £80 per week, with contents insurance and includes utilities in the rent with a broadband Internet connection available if required. The Exchange features Sky TV in the common room on a widescreen TV.

Liberty Square

Cotton Mills
