If you want to organise your own fundraisers, build up your skills, and make a real difference to local, national and international charities, then look no further! We have vacancies for inspiring Events Officers at all three campuses. We will also be running the elections for the RAG Officer, so if you want to put yourself forward to strategically lead RAG fundraising at Trent, then click here to find out how...

What do the Committee do?

The RAG Committee are a team of students who organise and lead fabulous fundraising events for students at NTU. They listen and respond to your ideas, so if you want to see an event happen then get in touch!

City Events Officers:

Emily Clarke
"Hi, my name's Emily, and I study Health and Social Care. I wanted to get involved to be part of raising money for charity, to help with the fun events, and to meet new people. I'd love to boost awareness of RAG throughout the uni, make some unfortgettable events with the committee, and hit the target of £100,000!"

Alice Craig Membrey

Shani Marion Jayawardena
"I decided to join the RAG committee because I consider myself to be very fortunate and blessed with a pretty great life, and so many people just aren’t that lucky. To me, it makes all the sense in the world to use the spare time that I have to try and have a positive impact on someone else’s life. At the end of the day – fundraising doesn’t really cost us anything, but it’s going to mean an awful lot to someone in need; and you can have so much fun while doing it, which is why I think that EVERYONE at Trent should get involved in all the RAG events we have planned! This year, I’m hoping to organise a Clothes Swap in the SU, where people can donate unwanted items, and take home the clothes they like that would’ve otherwise ended up in the bin, and raise lots of money for some good causes at the same time! I hope that we all raise loads of money throughout the year, and have a jolly time while doing so!"

Beth Murphy
"Hi, I'm Beth. I am in my second year, studying Psychology. I really wanted to get involved in RAG to raise lots of money for charity and have some fun at the same time. This year I want to improve awareness of RAG, get more people involved around uni, and help organise some amazing events!"

Lauren Quinton
"Hi, I'm Lauren Quinton and I'm in my first year studying sport and psychology! I have crazy ambitious imaginative plans for RAG, and I think you would be silly to not join in our fun events to help raise money for amazing charities! As an outgoing people person with previous fundraising experience, I hope to work with my team to make great things happen and go beyond our target! Spread the RAG word!"

Rachael Watson
"Hey, I'm Rachael, a second year Psychology student. I wanted to be involved with RAG as it seemed the perfect organisation for me to join as I love being part of a team and taking part in activities which aim to help others in need. I hope that RAG will continue to create bigger and better fundraising ideas that influence people to actively partake in helping charities."

Clifton Events Officers:

Hannah Chambers
"Hey I'm Hannah! Currently studying Linguistics with Communication and Society. I got involved in RAG because I wanted to make the most out of my time in Nottingham. I love a challenge and find helping people and charities super rewarding! I really hope that we can spread the word and get all the lovely Clifton people involved!"

Brackenhurst Events Officers:

We currently have no committee at Brackenhurst Campus. If you're a Brackenhurst student and interested in getting involved or forming a committee, then please email us.

Laura Buckland - Student Volunteer Coordinator
"Hi, I'm Laura, the Student Volunteer Coordinator at City Campus. I'm the member of staff that supports RAG in organising the awesome volunteering projects you'll be seeing in our calendar throughout the year. I also work on Initi8 Volunteering here at NTSU - another great activity to check out! I became involved in RAG for the first time three years ago, and I'm pleased to say we've gone from strength to strength, raising the most amount of cash in Trent RAG's history! This wouldn't be possible without you guys - your dedication, enthusiasm and cheeky charm. Doesn't it feel great knowing you make such a difference to someone else's life? And doesn't it feel even better that you're having fun doing it?! RAG is one of the best activities to get involved with to enrich your time at university, so make sure you get involved!! Get in touch: laura.buckland@su.ntu.ac.uk."
