Real Ale and Cider
“Let's go to the pub.”
We are a relaxed society focusing on the appreciation and consumption of good beers and ciders. As our slogan suggests, we mainly frequent pubs on our quest to try the wide range of beers and ciders Nottingham has to offer.
One of our favourite ventures is to the good old beer festival, where you can try some of the best beverages Britain's breweries have to offer. At these events you will find the full range of styles from hoppy and pale ales to subtle and mild dark stouts, spicy bitters to malty porters. Cider drinkers worry not. Most beer festivals also include a section of fine ciders and Perries for you to enjoy. These events have a great atmosphere and something for all tastes.
We will be running trips to other cities in the Midlands and South Yorkshire area to find new beers to whet your whistle and experience a pub culture other than our own here in Nottingham. Destinations last year included Sheffield, Leicester and Loughborough, where we had fun playing hunt the pub (getting lost) and found some absolute gems. This year we aim to extend the number of cities visited to hopefully make some more great discoveries.
