So it’s that time again; the dreaded exam season! Luckily our Stamp Out Stress campaign is back to help you combat those deadline blues, exam worries & dissertation woes! We’ve got a whole load of different activities going on, so whether you need a bit of TLC, an energy boost or some support for your studies, we’ve got you covered. Keep an eye on this page for a list of things we will be doing to help you stamp out stress!

 

Look After Your Mate

Free wellbeing workshop. Friends are probably the most common support network we rely on when life starts getting stressful. Sometimes it can be difficult to know how to help a friend who is struggling. This workshop will gives you the skills you need by covering the following:

  • Key practical tips for supporting a friend
  • Spotting signs your friend is struggling
  • How to start a conversation
  • How to support a friend: listening and motivating
  • Signposting to further support
  • Looking after your own wellbeing as a supporter

Fri 26th May, 1-3pm, Boardroom in Main Hall, Brackenhurst Campus

Need somewhere to relax and unwind and take your mind off of studying? Come and grab a book from our Bookswap Bookshelf!

You can drop off non-academic books you have finished with and pick up new ones.

Good diet is an essential part of staying healthy, being able to perform well and deal with stress. Download our Exec Cookbook, which is full of tasty, healthy meal ideas which are cheap and easy to prepare.

 

NTU walking map - City site

Staying active is also an essentional part of staying healthy and is super-effective at combatting stress. Don't feel like an intense workoput at the gym? A short wakl can be a great way to take a break and clear your head. See this leaflet for quick walking routes around the City site.

 

NTU Sport - play for fun

Feel like doing some sport but don't want to get too serious or competitive? NTU run social sport sessions where you can just turn up and play for fun. See the timetable here.
