Stride is a free training and development workshop programme offered by Nottingham Trent Students’ Union, and is recognised by Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce.
As well as helping you with your degree, and giving you the skills that employers really want, Stride sessions are a fun way to meet people and make new friends.
Just sign up online for as many modules as you like.
Personal Skills Programme aims to help you develop the skills you will need to achieve at University, like money management, essay writing and giving presentations, amongst others.
Employability: Gives you the skills you will need in when finding a job - including interview technique, application forms and how to write a good CV.
Online Modules: As well as our usual sessions, Stride offers online modules. They can be taken on their own, or to enhance the skills you have developed in our sessions. And best of all, you can do them in your own time, and take as long as you like to finish them.
Nothing! All Stride modules are free to all Trent students.
Stride runs two programmes with fourteen taught sessions, and seven online modules.
All of the taught Stride sessions are roughly two hours long. The online modules can be taken at your own pace, and you can spend as much time on them as you like.
Yes! Stride is constantly improving and adding new modules. If you have any ideas for new sessions, let us know!
Stride sessions take place on all three campuses, on various days and at various times. You can attend any of the sessions, regardless of which campus you are studying at, which means there should be one at the right time, in the right place for you. Back to top
