If you enter into any legally binding contract, either with TV companies or for your house, make sure you read the small print!

It is vitally important that you make yourself aware of the terms of the contract as, once you sign, it is very difficult to get out of it.

Some companies may try to swindle you out of more cash than you have, so if you have to cancel a contract after a certain number of months, make sure you do it - otherwise you could end up paying double.

For advice on contract checking, please contact the Student Advice Centre on sac@su.ntu.ac.uk or 0115 848 6200.
