Student Voice ► Student Voice

NTSU is first and foremost an organisation that exists to represent every one of its members - the circa 25,000 current students of Nottingham Trent University. As well as all of the benefits your Union membership gives you when it comes to activities and services we provide, we also empower you to make choices in how your Union is run, to ensure that we are fulfilling your needs and wishes as students.

The way we do this is to make sure our structure (aka governance) reflects, from the top down, the fact that we put you first. It's really very simple; you choose representatives from amongst yourselves to lead the Union and fulfil various roles, and then you give us your feedback to make sure that what we're doing, is what you want us to do.

From full-time Executive officers, to part-time Campus Liaison Officers, Student Officers, and Course Representatives, there's always someone to whom you can express your views about any given facet of student life at Trent - and there's always a way to put your ideas into action.

But, if it's representation in the more literal sense of the word that you require, we also have a fully-staffed Student Advice Centre available on every campus. Our advisers are knowledgable and experienced, and because of our independent status, can advise you on matters relating to disputes you may have with the University.
