The purpose of the UGMs (Union General Meetings) and the AGM (Annual General Meeting) is for you, the students of NTU, to be updated on the progress of the Union and what your Exec has been up to. It gives you the opportunity to hold the Union to account and make sure the Exec are doing their jobs by asking any questions you like... so make the most of it!
Past General Meetings have made significant changes to the way the Union is run in terms of how many elected officers there are and how students can have a say in their Union. UGMs and AGMs are also a brilliant way for your officers to inform you of their successes – such as gaining faster internet in halls, negotiating student friendly prices in Spanky Van Dykes to help you save money, and getting a new path laid at Clifton to make it safer for you to get around campus.
All students are welcome to come to the UGM and AGM. If you are travelling from the City to Clifton Campus, the Unilink bus runs every 8 minutes from outside Turtle Bay at The Cornerhouse.
Your voice is important - make sure you influence the future of your Union!
