Painting Project - Emmanuel House
Thursday 17th May, 1.30pm onwards
Help is needed to spruse up the exterior of Emmanuel House Day Centre for the Homeless. We'll be painting from 1.30pm.

NTU have partnered up with British Heart Foundation, NTSU and Nottingham City Council to make sure the items NTU students no longer need are saved from landfill and reused within the Nottingham Community, helping to save lives at the same time.
We are looking for volunteers to help distribute the collection bags and spread the word and also help collect the bags of donations left out for collection.
Volunteers will receive a certificate for participation.

The Big Clear Out is an opportunity to be involved in NTU’s end of year recycling project. Each year as students move out of Halls of Residence, unwanted belongings are collected and donated to local charities. Last year the scheme saved 2.6 tonnes of unwanted goods from going to landfill.
We need volunteers to help to sort donations of clothes, shoes, duvets and many more items, at our collection points on City and Clifton campuses and weigh them before they’re picked up.
Volunteers will receive lunch and a certificate for participation.

Sunshine Boxes for the Elderly
Happy new year everyone! Our first project back will be putting together 'sunshine packs' for the elderly. We have pots to plant, draught excluders to make and information to pack: so we need your help*!
We will be upstairs in Spanky Van Dykes, city, from 2-4pm so pop in and see us-no need to sign up!
*If you have any unwanted material (includung trousers, jumpers and tights) or plastic carrier bags please bring these along!

Card Making and Letter Writing Project
Sending a card with a simple, personal greeting is a powerful way to show support to someone. Amnesty are currently running a campaign to show support for someone who is facing human rights abuse and we'll be giving you the opportunity to get involved or write a card to someone else in need, who ever that might be.
This project will be run at both city (upstairs in Spanky Van Dykes) and Clifton (the Point) between 1 and 3.30pm

National Stress Awareness Day Project

It's National Stress Awareness day so bring a stressed out friend or just yourself! We'll be making stress balls and suggesting ways to combat stress! We also hope to get some lovely resources from Lush! to help us relax too! :)
