Welfare
What does it mean to you?
· Ever been worried about your finances?
· Ever thought that you might not be as fit or as healthy as you’d like to be?
· Not sure what to look for in a house, or think you being messed about by your landlord?
· Had a bad experience with sex?

Then WelCam is here for YOUR Welfare, to campaign on your behalf, and provide for you all the support that you need. “Welfare” means anything that you consider to have an impact on your lifestyle and wellbeing.
We’re not about teaching you how to live or saying that you can’t look after yourselves, we’re here to represent and work for you, when you think that you might need a little bit of extra help.
WelCam is a group run by students just like you, who have volunteered their time to campaign for you and provide you extra bit of support.
Work that we do includes:
- Campaigning for more equality for potential donors wishing to give blood, and have also succeeded in bringing blood donor sessions back to Trent.
- Organising Trent’s only Housing Fair for students looking to find somewhere to live for the next academic year.
- Educating and providing information about sexual health and safe sex.
- Campaigning for YOUR right to choose where you want to live, and campaigning for improved standards for landlords and better student accommodation.
- Helping you to “Chillax”, looking out for mental and physical wellbeing.
We are always looking for more people to get involved, or suggestions for how we can do more for you. For more info send us an email to welcam@su.ntu.ac.uk
