Private Halls

Glasshouse

Description: Large student village which opened in 2005, comprising of around 800 1 bedroom flats, some with en-suite. It has a fully fitted kitchen and each room has a bed, desk and ample storage space.

Location: In the centre of Nottingham, behind the Victoria Centre. The walk into Uni is little over 5 minutes

Type of contract: Contracts here are Licences, which mean you have less rights over the property.

Security: 24 hour security and a secure fob reader door entry system.

Cost: prices from £74 per week, for 2009 broadband and contents insurance are included and IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) is an optional extra.

“The rooms are a really good size and well laid out for you to work from, and the communal facilities are really good. There is now Aldi downstairs which is convenient for shopping and town is extremely close. The only downside is the noise in the courtyard, but this is just because there are so many students having fun!”

Trinity Square

Description: Trinity Square is Nottingham’s newest development, with 700 en-suite bedrooms in two separate tower blocks as well as becoming home to stores such as Currys, TK:Max and Waitrose.

Location: Just on the end of Shakespeare Street literally a 2 minutewalk to the City Campus.

Type of contract: Assured shorthold tenancy.

Security: 24 hour on-site security and a secure fob reader door entry system.

Cost: from £69 per week, broadband and IPTV included.


Victoria Halls

Description: Large student complex, comprising of 602 1 bedroom en-suite flats. Apartments are fully furnished with a communal lounge area and modern conveniences including a fitting kitchen, lounge area and on site laundry facilities.

Location: Within a 10-minute walk from Nottingham Trent University and only a minute’s walk from Nottingham city centre

Type of contract: Assured Shorthold Tenancy

Security: There is a secure key fob entry system which allows access via turnstile into your block. There is also on site security, CCTV, as well as hall managers during the day.

Cost: From £83 per week.


The Exchange

Description: Large complex, containing a combination of multiple occupancy flats and self contained single occupancy units with kitchen, dining and living room areas. All the rooms have en-suite WC Shower rooms and are furnished with a bed, large desk and wardrobe.

Location: At the bottom of Hockley, about a 15 minute walk to Uni. It is extremely convenient for the City Centre and the Hockley/Lace Market areas.

Type of contract: Assured Shorthold Tenancy

Security: Key fob entry system, with concierge during the evening and Office Manager during the daytime

Cost:  From £80 per week, with contents insurance and includes utilities in the rent with a broadband Internet connection available if required. The Exchange features Sky TV in the common room on a widescreen TV.

Royal Albert Court

Description: This complex contains a number of six bedroom flats, which have been recently refurbished in a cream and brown décor. In the living room, there are Italian leather brown sofas, 3/4 beds in each bedroom and the kitchen comprises a washer/dryer, fridge, freezer, cooker and microwave. All bills are fully inclusive water/gas/electric and broadband internet.

Location: Gamble Street, in the Arboretum area off Forest Road West, 10-15 minute walk from Uni.

Liberty Square

Description: Student complex, comprising of 1 bed en-suite flats Liberty Square offers accommodation with standard single study bedrooms in a shared flat with a well equipped kitchen, lounge and bathroom facility.

Location: Russell Street, in the Arboretum area, close to Alfreton Road and numerous local amenities. Around a 5-10 minute walk from Uni

Type of contract: Assured Shorthold Tenancy

Security: Electronic swipe card entry system. CCTV cameras installed to monitor the residence. Access to an on-site management team.

Cost: £70 per week, with free internet, bills included and contents insurance.

Cotton Mill

Description: A newly converted cotton mill, featuring all en-suite rooms and 32” LCD TVs in each lounge area with Freeview and Sky. Each en-suite bedroom comes fully furnished and includes a single-sized bed with under bed storage, bed-side table, desk, desk, chair and wardrobe. Kitchens are fully fitted and each includes an electric cooker with extractor fan, microwave and separate fridge and freezer.

Location: At the junction between Radford Boulevard and Hartley Road in Radford, across from Norton Court.

Type of contract: Assured Shorthold Tenancy

Security: Full 24-hour CCTV is in operation, and members of the management team are on-site during each day to deal with any problems that may arise in addition to day-to-day maintenance.

Cost: £85 per week including bills and access to an onsite gym
