► Housing/Don't Panic

After Christmas (when you should be house-hunting at the very earliest!!) Unipol will be producing the Housing Guide. This will give you all the information that you need to know about house-hunting. With such things as: where to find decent and safe houses, the lowdown on the different areas and a look at the different packages available.

The most important thing included in the guide will be an easy to understand breakdown of Housing Act 2004 and the implications of the new legislation on you as students!

The guide is designed to give you all the information that you need to find your student accommodation for the next academic year.
Expect to find helpful hints and tips about house-hunting along with advice on the different areas in Nottingham, the different kinds of accommodation on offer and the choice of deals that may be available to you.
So if you’re asking questions such as ‘what is a guarantor?’ or ‘should my house have a HMO Licence?’ then this is the guide for you.
Remember Don't Panic and wait for the new Housing Guide!!

P.S. When you do start looking for a house NTSU recommend Unipol

If you’re an incoming student and haven’t yet chosen your accommodation for your first year NTSU recommends that you use the NTU accommodation service. They have a 100% guarantee to find all first year students accommodation. Try to live in University Halls in your first year as it’s a great way to meet loads of new people, if that is not an option for you then follow the advice in this guide to find the place your looking for.
