Want to be a voice for your fellow students and help put in place positive changes at NTU? Becoming an Academic Rep is your opportunity to and nominations are now open!

Academic Reps act as a voice for the students in their school or on their course. They gather feedback from their peers and work alongside the Students’ Union and University to help put it into practice.

What do Academic Reps do?

Being a Rep is a great opportunity to improve the university experience at Trent. The opening of study spaces and a new bus stop at Brackenhurst are just a couple of examples of the positive changes our Reps have helped to make happen over the last couple of years. By becoming a Rep you’ll learn lots of transferable skills like communication and teamwork, which will look great on your CV and impress employers when you graduate.

How do I become an Academic Rep?

You can find out more information about becoming an Academic Rep here and nominate yourself here. It only takes a few minutes. Simply log in, choose the position you want to nominate yourself for and let us know why you think you’d be a good fit for the role.

Nominations close at midnight on Sunday 13th October. Voting will take place between Wednesday 16th and Tuesday 22nd October.*

* If you are an FE student, Academic Reps Nominations close at midnight Sunday 6th October. Voting will take place between Monday 7th October – Sunday 13th October.

Represent NTU students at a national level

You can also apply to be an NUS Delegate while you’re there and help to ensure NTU students’ voices are heard when it comes to big issues in education. It’s another great opportunity to develop your skills and experience. Find out more here.

Represent international students

We are also looking for an officer to represent our international students. This part-time role would best suit a current international student.
