What is Club of the Week?

Each week the Students’ Union recognises the achievements of NTU’s sports clubs by awarding two Club of the Week awards – one for an on-pitch sport and one for off-pitch.

Both clubs win £50 to put towards their club as well as a featured space on the NTSU website.

This week’s winners:

On-pitch winner: POLE DANCING

What the club achieved:

Last week, following their incredibly successful showcase, Pole Dancing took 4 girls to compete in IUPDC regional in Warwickshire. Everyone that took part placed in their categories, with a 1st place in beginner and doubles and also 3rd in inter!
It’s an extremely competitive event that sees universities from across the country take part and it was one of their most successful yet.

Off-pitch winner: BADMINTON

What the club achieved:

In collaboration with NTU Sport, Badminton organised a charity event where the current squad took on a team of alumni and raised £210 for the charity BacZac!
The club hope to make this an annual event which raises more money for a variety of charities in the future.
