Campus life looks a little different right now and NTSU is doing everything we can to make sure your university experience is the best it can be whilst keeping you safe.
All of our buildings are open and our services and events are running on-campus and online.
We have reorganised our venues to ensure social distancing is in place, increased cleaning activity, and added more hand sanitiser stations and a new one-way system in our buildings.
Our catering services are currently operating table service with socially distanced seating and enhanced cleaning in place so you can eat and drink safely on campus. You can see our opening times here.
To support your academic interests, some parts of our buildings will be used as social study spaces during term one.
We are still running our usual opportunities and activities. That means you can join societies and communities, have amazing global experiences with our RAG challenges, and boost your CV with our volunteering opportunities including:
Student-led projects - start a project to support a cause you are passionate about
Academic Reps - develop your leadership skills by becoming the voice of your school or course
Mental Health Champions - deliver and promote mental health support for students at NTU
RAG Challenge Leaders - run our RAG challenges and have the adventure of a lifetime
You can also take part in wellbeing activities, skills workshops, trips and tours, and fun one-off events with our Give It A Go activities. From cooking clubs to online yoga sessions and make-up workshops, there's bound to be something of interest.
We know how important socialising is to your student experience, so we will be running events on campus and online during term one. We have launched some new events for you to enjoy this year. You can see the list of our upcoming events here. Events in our venues are currently seated in groups of up to six with table service and a 10pm curfew to comply with government guidelines and ensure your safety. Follow us @NTSUents on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for all the latest info and updates on events.
While our buildings are open and we still have activities and services operating on all three campuses, we want to make it easy for you to be part of a student community at NTU. Our online communities such as the Trent Students and Equality and Diversity Facebook groups are designed to help you keep in touch with other students at NTU. You can find a full list of them here.
Your new Exec Team, elected by NTU students earlier this year, are in post and working hard to ensure you get the best educational experience possible. Find out more about how our elected officers support student communities here.
You can access confidential support online, on campus, and over the phone through our free, independent Information and Advice Service. They specialise in academic support, health and wellbeing, housing, and money issues but they can help you with most aspects of student life. Get in touch with them if you need support with anything while studying at NTU.
If you have any questions about anything to do with your student experience at NTU, get in touch with one of your Executive Team. If you have ideas for changes to life on campus that you would like to see, submit a Big Idea and we'll see if we can make it happen.
