Charity Application

RAG Raising and Giving

Applications to be Nottingham Trent RAG's nominated charities are now open!

This year, we will be running tri-campus termly RAG events to support our nominated charities. We are keen to develop strong relationships with our charities and hope that you will be able to provide us with this opportunity. Being one of our nominated charities means that we will fundraise throughout the year for your cause. We fundraise by putting on events such as Jailbreak and a RAG week in which we try to raise as much as possible. Our total amount raised is shared equally between the causes that we select.

Our societies and sports teams are encouraged to fundraise throughout the year. The cause that they fundraise for is often specific to their activity, however we also give them the chance to support our nominated charities and provide them with the relevant information about the cause.

To ensure the greatest benefit is felt from RAG to both students and partner organisations within the community NTSU will not be limiting RAG to one charity per year. Any not for profit organisation with a registered charity number and their own robust fundraising guidelines may apply to be one of our chosen RAG charities. We are happy to receive applications from both local and national charitable organisations.

After the application deadline, NTSU staff and Executive Officers will decide on a shortlist of charities to support during the year. NTU students will then vote on which charities they wish to support throughout the year. Our advice would be to provide us with as much information as possible; this will allow us to appreciate the hard work of your charity as we go through the application process.

***To be considered, please submit your completed application form by midnight on Friday 9th August 2019***

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us on opportunities@su.ntu.ac.uk. Good luck with your application!
