Volunteering Week is a great opportunity for you to find out more about our new volunteering programme and how you can get involved in it during your time at NTU.

 

We’ve got various events planned throughout the week that will give you a taste of what it’s like to volunteer plus we’ll provide you with all the information you need to get started.

 

You’ll also get to know the staff members you’ll be working with along the way.

 

Below is a list of Volunteering Week activities.

Autism East Midlands offers respite for families affected by Autism and can see up to 40 service users in a single day. This is your chance to help them give their Heanor office a makeover.

Taxi pick up from the City SU, 9:45.Taxi leaves Autism East Midlands for City SU at 15:30   

NOTE: Must wear old clothes and old shoes that you do not mind getting paint on. depending on the weather you will also be working outside so warm clothing would be recommended for that. Lunch will not be provided, but there are shops in the area to buy lunch from.

Notts Refugee Forum provides help and advice for asylum seekers and you can support them by helping out at their clothes bank.

Lend a hand at The Clifton Food Share Allotment where 50% of the fruit and veg is donated to charity.  

NOTE: Please wear warm clothes as you will be outside and wear sensible closed shoes eg. wellies or trainers that you do not mind getting muddy.

Interested in sustainability and the environment? Like working outside in any weather? Fancy supporting a charity that supports people with learning difficulties? Flower Pod needs you! They are looking for NTU students to help with various volunteering responsibilities at their 1.5acre allotment at Brackenhurst.
