Student champion of mental health

Are you passionate about helping others? Apply to be a Student Mental Health Champion at NTSU!

What is a Student Mental Health Champion?

Our Mental Health Champions help deliver and promote mental health support to students at Nottingham Trent University. They work alongside our VP Community and Welfare and our Information and Advice Service to ensure students have access to the support they need.

As one of our champions, you’ll be expected to:

  • Attend at least one advice and information sessions per year
  • Help out at a welfare-related event we host throughout the year such as World Mental Health Day, Wellbeing Week and Time to Talk Day
  • Help with promotion of key information, activities and the healthy NTU blog

Why should I apply?

We’ll provide you with international recognised training opportunities including Look After Your Mates, Mental Health First Aid Adult and Suicide Training.

You’ll receive a Mental Health Champion lanyard, t-shirt and recognition award for your involvement plus you’ll come away with skills and experience that will look great on your CV.

How do I get involved?

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, contact one of the representatives below for more details.

Please note: If you apply now training won't commence until term 2.
