Fly FM Award Winners

Fly FM, NTSU’s official student radio society, has won a number of national awards!

The radio station was nominated for six different awards at the Student Radio Awards which took place earlier this month and came away with four wins; Silver for its Chart Show, Bronze for Best Technical Achievement, Bronze for Best Female and Silver for Best Female.

The awards which are supported by Global and BBC Radio 1 recognise outstanding contributions to student radio every year and are a testament to the hard work members have put into making it a success this year.

Isobel Holman, Head of Programming at Fly FM, said: “It’s always an honour to be nominated by the SRA for any award - let alone for the variety of awards we were nominated for this year. Everyone worked very hard throughout the year and it’s lovely to get recognition for the effort we put in.”
