Car parking at Brackenhurst

The parking facilities at Brackenhurst need to be improved as there are nowhere near enough parking spaces for students to use. Is there some way that car parks can be extended to provide a number of car parking spaces that is closer to the number of permits that are given out?

Adding to that, the surfaces of the car parks are not the best that they could be. As soon as it rains, the car parks become very messy as they are not surfaced with tarmac, therefore a lot of the surface washes away and holes form easily.

Due to the surface, there cannot be any lines painted to mark out bays as these would easily be moved or washed away in the rain. This means that money needs to be spent paying car parking attendants ensuring that people park properly to allow maximum cars into the car parks. Money is also being spent repairing holes that form in the car parks due to the inappropriate surfaces.

If the money was spent properly resurfacing the car parks and marking out the bays, then in the long term money will clearly be saved.

I agree, too. I normally arrive at Brack at around 07.30, and normally park in the Glasshouse car park, but even I am now seeing that THAT car park is nearly full, at that time in the morning! Is it student cars, who live on campus? The men working on the new buildings/infrastructure? Either way, I find it difficult to park, now, when I didn't not so long ago (when we first started back)
