So many students use disposable vapes that are composed of batteries/plastics that can easily be recycled, but as they cannot be taken apart, very few places accept them. Therefore, they just get thrown in the general waste, or contaminating recycling. The nearest place that recycles vapes is an hour round trip, which pretty much everyone will not be willing to do. The university has so many recycling points across campus, why not introduce a few specifically for disposable vapes as well? It won't encourage vaping, in the same way the cigarette trays on the uni bins don't encourage people to smoke - they just make it more accessible for smokers, prevent littering, and stops contamination.
