My society (Sustainability Society) and I want to reduce the insane amount of waste created by ToGo cups in the Campus Cafes. To do so, we were thinking we could either have actual mugs in the Campus Cafes for people who want to sit down in the cafe and only provide toGo Cups for those who want their coffee to take away or introducing a system like the ReCup- System. The ReCup-System is a system used in Germany where several Cafes have reusable ToGo cups which you can get for an additional one pound. You can return this cup at any of the Campus Cafes at any time and get your deposit back.
