Whilst we are all busy revising for end of year exams and getting ready for end of year deadlines, it is obvious that we are still short on study space and the study spaces we currently have aren't being used as effectively as they should. When it comes to booking rooms or study tables in the library around this time of year availability is slim and you manage with whatever slots you can get your hands on. But the same thing keeps happening. People will book a room and then not show up for their booking. The online system shows no availability for study rooms when in fact they are free and ready to use. Honestly, something needs to be done as a deterant to those who book rooms and don't actually use them. Let people have space to study in the way that they want to. Maybe some sort of points system. If you miss say 2 bookings you are then unable to make bookings for say the next week? Then people who actually need and want to use the rooms have them available.
