Online Society Activity
Online activity can provide a lot of extra value to your society. They can encourage students to get involved in your group from home, allow for wider participation, and provide a welcome break from more intense society events. These activities add an extra aspect to your group and open up new event possibilities!
We have compiled a series of guides for online activities and events, including ideas, how-tos, and online conduct.
All online activities require you to submit an Activity Booking Form at least 7 working days before the event. An Opportunities Coordinator will be in touch if they have any questions about the activity.
We have created a guide with over 100 ideas for online activities to run alongside your in-person events. This isn’t an exhaustive list – we would love to hear your ideas too! Please email opportunities@su.ntu.ac.uk with any suggestions.
It's important to ensure that all members behave appropriately on your online channels. We have created some guidance on how to create a good first impression, maintain positive and inclusive interactions and respond to inappropriate behaviour online.
Society Committee Elections and By-Elections are still taking place as scheduled, therefore ensure your members are aware of the dates. Why not allow candidates to present themselves to the society by running a Digital AGM? Here’s a guide on how to run an AGM over Facebook Live.

Online streaming is a huge industry now but can be quite complicated for a beginner. We have put together a beginners' guide to get you started.

Online game nights are a great way to spend an evening, and we want to provide societies with a way to keep their socials fun and engaging. We have purchased a selection of games which will be available for societies to access through our Steam account. We would recommend taking advantage of these games to offer something new in your online socials during lockdown, as well as in-person when possible!
You can book access to the Steam account by completing the form below. Once you have requested access, a member of the Opportunities team will be in touch to confirm your booking and provide you with the log-in information. We have the following games available on Steam:
