Welcome to the Bangladeshi Society at NTU.
We are a society for anyone with an interest in Bangladeshi culture, whether you have grown up with it or are discovering it for the first time. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, and everyone is welcome.
Throughout the year we host a mix of relaxed social events, including game nights and film nights, alongside celebrations of the dates that matter most to our community. These include International Mother Language Day on 21 February, Independence Day on 26 March, Pohela Boishakh on 14 April, Victory Day on 16 December, and Pitha Utshob, the Bengali winter festival.
Membership gives you free entry to most of our events and free refreshments at our socials across the year. It is also the easiest way to meet people, whether you are new to Nottingham or returning for another year.
With our membership, you get free entry to most of our events and free refreshments all year round! Head over to our social media to learn more and get in contact with us!
