NTU is the vibrant heart of a unique community of 675+ Estranged, & Care Experienced Students. NTSU is thrilled to unveil an exciting new Student-Led Community —your very own space to connect, thrive, and belong. Get ready to be part of something truly special!

We proudly represent one of the largest communities for estranged and care experienced students in the UK, encompassing both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Our society spans multiple campuses, including City, Clifton, School of Art & Design in London, Brackenhurst, and NTU in Mansfield. Join us in fostering a supportive and inclusive community! Dive into a vibrant community where you can socialise, attend events, and embark on adventures. We have exciting trips planned throughout the academic year and holidays. As a student-led society, we are dedicated to ensuring your voice is heard and valued. Our mission is to support, empower, and unite all members.

As our inaugural year unfolds, we have gained national recognition from universities, student unions, charities, and various organisations. We will continue to forge and nurture these partnerships, enhancing the network and support for all Care Experienced and Estranged Students.

As a Student-Led Community, our Reps represent the community in events, socials, and society policies. We strive to maintain a positive environment for our members. However, we are not equipped to handle conflict resolution, financial issues, accommodation, or mental health concerns. For these matters, please contact NTSU or Nottingham Trent University directly.

Membership Fee


Worried about the cost? Don't be! We've made joining our society ridiculously affordable – just £3 for the entire academic year! That’s basically pocket change! For that tiny amount, you get access to discounted drinks at our socials and amazing free or discounted trips and events. We’re not in it for the profit; we get extra funding to make sure everyone, especially our Estranged and Care Leaver students, can get involved. So, what are you waiting for?
