We would like to INVITE both, NTU students and staff to attend our ‘Working Together – Modern Slavery Awareness Panel’ event; hosted by Nottingham Trent University (NTU), Hope For Justice society.
Hope For Justice is an anti-slavery charity working towards ending modern slavery and safeguarding vulnerable people. We are a student body supporting the work of Hope For Justice by raising awareness in our academic setting.
This is an educational panel, that will address real concerns for various sectors, a wide range of individuals and how professionals are working together to combat slavery, to educate the community and protect vulnerable people. This is also a great opportunity to meet field experts and ask questions, in addition to networking with these professionals.
Our speakers include:
A short biography of each speaker will be displayed at the start of the event. Don't forget to book your FREE ticket to secure your seat! Don't miss out on our free goody bag at the end of the event.
Are you into fashion, engeering, business or other industries outside of law and the human rights field? - This talk will also include information on how Hope For Justice works alongside various industries to mitigate moder-slavery. Their East Midlands hub works specifically with the garment industry and their Slave Free Alliance membership programme focuses on working alongside well-known companies such as Asda, Aldi, Aviva, Currys, Green King, GBG, Sevent Trent and many more to spot the signs of slavery and to ensure their workers are treated ethically, morally, legally and with respect.
