Hi everyone, we are Nottingham Trent University's Pride Society, an LGBT+ group supporting, representing and welcoming people of many differing sexual orientations and identities. We strive to be inclusive of all, whether you align as queer, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, asexual, pansexual, non-binary, gender queer, intersex, questioning and every other colour of the rainbow, as well as those who are allies to the community. We do this by providing a safe space where people can get involved in discussions, ask questions and make new friends by holding events that cater to a multitude of interests. Additionally, we try to address any issues you have concerning your equality around the university.
Throughout the year we will hold events specifically related to the LGBT+ community as well as informal meet-ups for tea and cake, more formal talks about things like gender pronouns and homophobia and nights out. That's just a small sample of some of the things we will be doing so keep a look out for our events on Facebook and Twitter! Furthermore, we will be providing support to anyone that needs it if they feel like reaching out to us.
We post information about our events in our private group on facebook, which you can request to join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/594658564279145/
