Description

EUROPES FIRST SPACE LAW SOCIETY

Our unique society is one of only a handful in the world and offers an opportunity to learn and study what will be one of the most important emerging areas of law for humanity. You do not need any previous legal knowledge or knowlegde of space, anyone on any course is welocme with open arms, all you need is a passion or interest for humanities final frontier! This academic year will be our 2nd and will see major improvements to the society such as events and networking with industry professionals.

We have weekly sessions where you will learn and apply Space Law in areas including (but not limited to):

  • Shuttle/Satellite launches
  • Moon bases
  • Military action in space
  • Mining asteroids

The exploration side will ideally focus on the types of technology and the space/exploration crafts used and their proposed purpose. We will also cover 'what if' scenarios for the vehicles. Then we will look at any planned journey, crew, and time. Also, the types of materials used on crafts and why they are used over other normal materials.

Any trips will hopefully be to the National Space Center, potentially the London Institute of Space Policy and Law and if we're allowed, to the Clifton campus observatory.

Regarding socials, social events can be voted upon and will change regularly but will exclude clubbing or pub socials following the recent events and the societies values. If anyone does want to arrange to go clubbing or to bars/pubs feel free to organize this yourselves and get tickets for clubs through NTSU.
