Committees are held accountable by their members - you should voice concerns there or speak to the VP Activities.

Socieites should be required to do more than organise drinking socials if they are charging fees for membership.

Socities formed under a cause should work for that cause.

The SU has a responsibility to faciliate standards within societies and discourage drinking as a go to means for interaction, especially when the SU spends funds on Drink Awareness Campaigns. The SU needs to design a framework or guidance for Society committees to provide a real and enriching programme for its members, instead of relying on Ocean nights.

It would be nice to separate what a society is so there is a distinction between those which focus on a specific set of goals and those which currently operate as a "group of people who enjoy the same activity going out drinking together"
