Welcome to our new External Trustees
We're delighted to welcome Dr Jane Rigbye and Matt Nicholson as the newest External Trustees on the Nottingham Trent Students' Union Board.
External Trustees play a vital role in helping shape our future, bringing independent expertise and fresh perspectives to ensure we're making the best decisions for our students and communities.
Dr Jane Rigbye
Jane is an experienced charity CEO and Chartered Psychologist, with an impressive background in strategy, organisational leadership and safeguarding. An NTU graduate, Jane credits some of her most defining experiences to the opportunities she found through sports and societies, and is passionate about helping the next generation of students build the same skills, friendships and sense of belonging that shaped her own journey.
Matt Nicholson
Matt is Head of Performance Integration at the University of Nottingham and a former NTSU Vice President Sport. Combining extensive experience in higher education with first-hand knowledge of student leadership, he has a strong track record of building partnerships, developing opportunities and creating environments where students can thrive.
As we look ahead, Jane and Matt's experience will help us continue strengthening student voice, creating opportunities for students to thrive, and ensuring NTSU remains inclusive, supportive, innovative and, most importantly, student-led.
