The Level is our main event space. Situated over two levels, with a balcony overlooking the stage and dancefloor, it boasts an incredible sound and lighting system and two licensed bars.
Day Time - Food & Drinks
During the day, The Level transforms into a vibrant hub offering a variety of food fairs and pop-up shops. We host a varteity of vintage fashion and unique finds while enjoying snacks and refreshments from our pop-up food stalls. Whether you're looking to grab a quick bite or explore some artisanal products, there's always something new to discover.
Night Time - Events
From electrifying club nights to live music sessions and stand-up comedy, the venue pulses with energy. Its state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems create the perfect atmosphere for unforgettable nights. The Level is the home of our official events brand Trent Events, check out our schedule and join us for an evening of fun and entertainment.

The Level offers exclusive options for private hires, making it a prime spot for your special events or gatherings. During the day, you can expect to find vintage fashion fairs, pop-up shops, information fairs, and student activities.
Once the sun goes down, the venue hosts everything from club nights, live music, and stand-up comedy to big-screen sport, debates, speakers, and awards ceremonies.
The Level is primarily a student space, but we also host national tour dates for live bands, which are open to the public.
The Loft 🍻

The Loft is our intimate upstairs bar. It's the perfect spot for a quiet catch-up with friends or grabbing pre-bar drinks before a night out.
We serve food cooked to order during the day, including our legendary all-day breakfast and handmade pizzas.
In the evenings, we dim the lights and let our drinks selection shine. Pop in to enjoy our extensive menu of cocktails, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, including our popular mocktails.
To find us, head up the stairs between the SU Shop and the Level on Shakespeare Street. You won't be disappointed.
Grumpy Mule Coffee Lounge ☕️

Our popular coffee shop, with its high ceiling and two-storey window walls, is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee with friends or get your head down and study.
We serve ethically sourced fresh coffee, light bites, and snacks alongside speciality teas and cold drinks. This light, airy space is an awesome spot to grab a bit of me time and watch the world go by. Don't miss our refreshing fruit smoothies served during spring and summer.
SU Shop 🛒

The Orangery

Our on-campus café is set in a beautiful listed building with window walls and outdoor seating overlooking the picturesque campus main lawn. It's a great spot to meet friends, grab a drink or a bite to eat, and relax between classes.
We serve fresh coffee, speciality teas, cold drinks, and smoothies, so you can be refreshed, whatever your taste. Non-dairy milk is available – just ask at the counter.
Our food menu covers meals, light bites and snacks, breakfast options, and lunchtime classics like burgers and sandwiches. We also have plenty of plant-based food options for you to enjoy.
The Brack Bar

The Brack Bar is home to on-campus events, including Social Wednesdays, Quids In Thursdays and our weekly club night Fluid.
