Both NTSU and NTU believe that sport represents a key part of your student experience here at university and the organisations work in collaboration to provide engaging and inclusive sporting opportunities for all.
There are over 60 sports clubs to join, with some taking part in competitions all over the country and others competing against other university teams in the British Universities and College Sport (BUCS) League over the course of a season. We also offer intramural games where you and a team of mates can play against other Trent students and, if you enjoy playing sport without the competition aspect, you can try our Play for Fun programme.
There are various sporting events that take place throughout the year too. Our annual Varsity series which sees us take on local rivals University of Nottingham in a series of matches from basketball to badminton at top venues around the city is just one of them. Another event not to be missed is the Sports Ball in term 3 which celebrates all the sports clubs’ achievements throughout the year with the opportunity to win some trophies and prizes!
You can sign up for sports membership before you get here via trentstudents.org/sportsmembership and if you have any questions, queries or comments about sport at NTU, your VP Sport Izzy Gregson is here to make sure they are heard.
