Joe Cormack

Hi, I'm Joe.

NTSU President 2026/27

I'm Joe, your President for 2026/27, and that means I lead the team of executive officers and represent NTU students at the highest levels of university governance. I am also Chair of the Board of Trustees at NTSU and a member of NTU's Board of Governors.

What I've been up to

Here's a look at all the stuff I've been up to this year.

My manifesto points

Here you can see the progress of the promises I made to become your President.

Advocacy — I will be a visible, active voice, campaigning locally and nationally to ensure NTU students' voices shape decisions on issues such as cost of living, housing, student finance, public transport, and the student experience, pushing for meaningful change that improves students' lives.

In progress

Safety — I will make student safety a top priority: advocating for safer public transport, supporting welfare schemes across Nottingham's nightlife, and continuing action to prevent and respond to sexual violence, so every student feels safe when studying, working or socialising.

In progress

Opportunities — I will break down barriers so opportunities are inclusive and accessible, expanding accessible sport, improving awareness of opportunities, and ensuring students from all backgrounds feel represented and empowered at NTU.

In progress

Education — I will push for fair, accessible and transparent education by strengthening student representation, improving communication and addressing inconsistencies across courses.

In progress

Officer accountability — I will make officers open, transparent and accountable, improving how they communicate through a clear, shared platform for updates, progress and campaigns, and empowering student leaders to hold officers accountable.
