Hey everyone!

I want to create a student exchange network where we can give away or request things we no longer need — like kitchen supplies, room essentials, study materials, bikes, or any other items students might use. A lot of people buy things for the year and then throw them away when they leave, even though new students could really use them. This would make sharing and reusing super easy for everyone.

This idea would make student life cheaper, greener, and more connected. It helps us save money, reduce waste, and build community by helping each other out. As an international Erasmus student, I know how tricky it is to buy everything for just a few months and then figure out what to do with it later — this platform would make that so much easier. It would also fit really well with NTU’s sustainability and housing goals, so it benefits the whole campus.

To start, I’d create a WhatsApp community — something simple, low-cost, and easy for everyone to join. Students could post items they’re giving away or looking for, with clear categories and basic rules. I’d work with NTSU, NTU Sustainability, and Housing to promote it, so even students who haven’t arrived yet can join. Later on, if it grows, we could turn it into a proper online platform. Students could even get small incentives or recognition for taking part — like sustainability points or shout-outs for being active in the community.
