About the role

NTSU is looking for a creative, organised and digitally-minded person to join the Marketing, Communications & Digital team. This role is all about helping us connect with students in a relevant, engaging and impactful way.

You'll plan and deliver marketing campaigns, create content across multiple channels, and play a key role in growing our digital presence - particularly on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. You'll also line manage a team of student social media staff, working with them to produce high-quality, student-led content that reflects what's happening across NTSU.

  • Job purpose: plan and deliver marketing campaigns; create and oversee content across channels; grow digital audiences; line manage student social media assistants.
  • Working pattern: 37.5 hours/week, worked flexibly; occasional evening/weekend work; work across NTU campuses as needed.
  • Reports to: Marketing, Communications & Digital Manager.

What you'll be doing

You'll plan and deliver campaigns, create engaging content across channels, manage a team of student social media assistants, and use insight to keep improving what we do.

  • Planning and delivering marketing campaigns that promote NTSU activity, services and opportunities.
  • Creating and overseeing content across social media, email, web and print.
  • Growing and engaging digital audiences - particularly on Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms.
  • Managing and supporting a team of student social media assistants, including allocating work and giving feedback.
  • Keeping content organised through content calendars, campaign plans and scheduling.
  • Working with teams across NTSU to turn ideas into clear, engaging communications.
  • Monitoring performance and using insight to improve what we do.
  • Supporting major campaigns, events and key moments in the student calendar - including Freshers.

What we're looking for

You don't need to tick every box on day one — but you do need a genuine interest in content, students, and how people engage with marketing. We're looking for someone creative, organised, collaborative, and confident.

  • Someone who enjoys creating content and has experience using social media in a professional or organised setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with others and building positive relationships.
  • A genuine interest in digital trends, student audiences, and how people engage with content.
  • An understanding of what makes content relevant, timely and engaging.
