Student Enterprise Week 2021

Last term, your fellow students were given the chance to develop their business mindset and win funding towards their business idea as part of Student Enterprise Week 2021.

 

The annual event is a collaboration between the Students’ Union, NTU Enterprise and NTU Sustainability and features a week-long series of business skills workshops and a Dragon’s Den style competition which gives students the opportunity to win a share of £3000 of funding to turn their budding business ideas into a success.

Below is a full list of this year’s winners:

 

Will Barratt & Al Squires

Green Dragon’s Social Impact Award and Most Commercially Viable Award

An innovative donation wall that enables people to walk up and donate using contactless payment.

 

Cerys  Benskin  and Tomi Daniels

Commercially Viable  Award Runner-up

Culture Corner which is a UK-based streetwear brand.

 

Jose  Castelazo : Jose’s Dish Drainer

Green Dragons Environment Impact Award and Most Innovative  Award

Diverting water from washing up to grow herbs/plants on your draining board.

 

Alexander Proctor

Innovative  Award Runner-up

Created a business plan which would allow companies to seamlessly integrate a cashless tipping service into their point of sale.

 

Gabrielle  Rockson: Positive World

Social Media Business Award

A website which provides positive news and entertainment.
