From opportunities to try new things to the chance to win funding towards your business ideas, there’s a lot to look forward to at your Students’ Union this February. Here’s a taste of what’s to come.  

 

Give it a Go Week 

Monday 4th – Sunday 10th February  

Been thinking about joining a society, trying your hand at volunteering or getting involved in any of the other opportunities on offer at the Students’ Union? Give it a Go Week is your opportunity to try out a range of SU activities without any long-term commitment. Sexual Violence Awareness Week 

Monday 4th – Sunday 10th February  

The Students’ Union is collaborating with NTU on a programme of events to raise awareness of sexual violence this month, including workshops and self -defence classes. Find out more information here.  

 

Student Volunteering Week 

Monday 11th – Friday 15th February  

If you’re looking for ways to give back to your local community and grow your CV, make sure you get involved in Volunteering Week. The SU will be running taster sessions throughout the week that will give you an insight into the world of volunteering and how you can help make a difference. www.trentstudents.org/volunteeringweek.  

 

Student Enterprise Week 

Monday 11th – Friday 15th February  

Enterprise Week returns this February which means so does your chance to win £4000 towards your business idea in our Dragon’s Den competition! It’s not the only event we’ve got planned though. There’ll also be a series of workshops on offer that are designed to help you become a better business person. If you are a budding entrepreneur or just fancy working for yourself at some point, don’t miss this! Find out more here.   

 

Election nominations 

Monday 25th Feb – Friday 8th March 

Interested in starting your career running a multi-million pound charity, giving your fellow students a voice and developing leadership experience that’ll make your CV stand out? Election nominations are taking place this February. From our full-time Executive Officers who represent students on everything from welfare to education to committee members who help to run their sports club or society, there are various positions up for grabs.  

Nominations open at midday on Monday 25th February.

LGBT + History Month 

February 2018 

In case that wasn’t enough, we’ve got events planned throughout the month of February to celebrate the LGBT+ community as part of LGBT+ History Month. Find out more here.
