2022 marks the 20th anniversary of Nottingham Varsity following a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Major tournaments like Varsity do not come around often, and when they do, the collective support from both teams is what makes the atmosphere so electric.
Not only does Varsity bring together some of the strongest sporting talent from both Universities, it also unites students, staff and the local community who turn out in their masses to witness the epic two-week battle for the trophy.
As Varsity returns to the City this Spring, the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University stand together to fight against discrimination, injustice and inequality.
Whether it is on the pitch or in the stands, those attending Varsity are reminded that they are representing their University and violence, racism or any other form of discrimination will not be tolerated.
