Did you know 1 in 7 residents of Nottingham is a student?
Nottingham is currently creating a new Student Living Strategy to plan for the future of student accommodation in Nottingham. Right now, the project is open for public consultation, so the whole city, including students like you, can have a say in what happens next. It's a big deal.
To ensure the strategy meets your needs, we want you to be part of this conversation. Right now, you can have your say on student housing in Notts through this short survey. We recommend you take it to ensure students' views are represented.
This plan will shape the future of student life in Nottingham, so make sure you influence how it looks.
Brack Bar goes green with our new reusable cup scheme
Good news—We've introduced a reusable cup scheme at the Brack Bar to help reduce our environmental impact.
This trial is the latest stage in our plan to phase out single-use plastics from our venues. It follows our previous implementation of sustainable food packaging and paper drinking straws in our other venues.
We'll initially roll out the scheme at Brackenhurst evening events like Fluid, where our branded cups will be collected, washed, and reused rather than thrown away at night's end

NTSU is continually working towards operating greener venues and reducing our carbon footprint. If this trial succeeds, we plan to take similar measures wherever single-use plastics are still in use.

Bingo Bedlam @ Clifton
Tuesday 14th March, 7pm – Late, The Point Expect the unexpected at this bingo event like no other. St Patrick's Day
Friday 17th March, 12pm – 6pm (free entry), 6pm – late (only £5 entry), City SU Celebrate the luck of the Irish with a whole day of live DJs, tons of giveaways, and unbeatable Guinness deals. NTSU Elections Results Night
Friday 17th March, 8pm onwards, The Point, Clifton Want to be the first to find out the winners of NTSU's 2023 elections? Join us this Friday as we announce the winners and celebrate with the candidates who have been campaigning hard for your votes over the past two weeks. Can't make it? There will be live coverage from our student media societies, and results will be announced on NTSU's Instagram in real time. Still haven't had your say in this year's elections? SHAG week returns
Mon 20th March – Sun 26th March, Various campuses Our annual SHAG Week is all about raising awareness of sexual health and guidance. Mon 20th March – Sun 26th March, Various campuses Want to get involved in exciting one-off activities all whilst helping to raise money for charity? RAG week is all about putting the fun in fundraising, giving you a chance to try something new and support important causes. Our societies are hosting a week of one-off fundraising events for you to get involved in. From ice skating to e-sport tournaments and quirky crafts to film nights, there's plenty of fun to have. They're each raising money for a charity of their choosing, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Nottinghamshire Deaf Society, LGBTQ+ charity, Breast Cancer Now, and many more. Ice Skating Gala

Notts Varsity Series is back—Get your tickets now
Sunday 26th—Thursday 30th March, various Nottingham sports venues So, the ice hockey didn't go our way last month, but there's still plenty of time for the Notts Varsity trophy to come home to Trent before the series ends. The sporting action returns for a week packed full of events, starting on Sunday 26th March with American Football. We asked Gary Lineker to host a show for us, but sadly, he declined. Still, you can get tickets to catch all the games live on the Notts Varsity website.
