NTSU Student led teaching awards 2015 winners announced!

The winners of NTSU's annual Outstanding Teaching Awards were announced at an awards ceremony held in the city Students’ Union building on Tuesday 5th May, bringing the year to a close with a celebration of academic success .

The Outstanding Teaching Awards provide an opportunity to recognise all the excellent teaching and support staff at Nottingham Trent University. For the last few weeks, students have been voting for the tutors, lecturers and support staff whom they feel have made the most positive impact on their learning this academic year.

Students, along with staff from NTU and Nottingham Trent Students' Union were in attendance at the ceremony to show their appreciation for the hard work and dedication of NTU’s teaching staff during this academic year.

 

There are individual awards for staff in each of NTU's nine Schools as well as Nottingham Trent International College and are split into four categories:

 

  • Outstanding Academic of the Year
  • Outstanding Support Staff of the Year
  • Outstanding Department of the Year
  • Outstanding School of the Year

 

Winners of this year's awards are:

 

School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences

Outstanding Academic of the Year: Benjamin Moran

Outstanding Support Staff of the Year: Simon Taylor

Shortlisted nominees: Joanne Smith and Sue Sutton

 

School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment

Outstanding Academic of the Year: Richard Wood

Shortlisted nominees: Andrew King and Chris Lamerton

 

Outstanding Support Staff of the Year: Ruth Anderton

Shortlisted nominees: Chris Forbes and Stephen Chamberlain

 

School of Art and Design

Outstanding Academic of the Year: Linda Marchant

Shortlisted nominees: Eleanor Wild and Nicola Taylor

 

Outstanding Support Staff of the Year: Jenny Larkins

Shortlisted nominees: Andrew Harris and Dan Radburn

 

School of Arts and Humanities

Outstanding Academic of the Year: Humaira Saeed
