Social Life at NTU

Social life is a major part of being at uni, and the social scene at NTU runs day and night throughout the term.

To make your time at NTU even more memorable, we've created our own events brand, Trent Events, to bring you the most epic list of events all year round. It's all about quality, quantity, and value for money nighttime events that you won't want to miss out on!

That means you can enjoy some of the best student nights in the country (and easily the best in Nottingham), night after night, without spending a fortune. Our events range from huge club nights to small niche socials so you can celebrate and socialise in a way that suits you any night of the week.

Freshers Ball

There’s no better way to get a taste of what experiencing a big Trent Event is like than by attending the Freshers Ball in our premier city centre venue, The Level, on Sunday 28th September.

But the ball isn’t all you have to look forward to – we have dozens of events lined up during Freshers Week.

Freshers Pass

Event tickets are on sale now, but if you really want to make a week of it, consider getting a Freshers Pass. It will save you money and give you perks like free transport from your halls to all the best parties (because who wants to be finding their way around a new city instead of having a good time?).

If you want to go to the Freshers Ball, then buying a pass is a no-brainer. All packages other than the most basic include Freshers Ball entry, guaranteeing you extra value and a super-fun week.

What Students Say

Here’s what some of last year’s freshers said about our Freshers Week events:

"The easiest way to meet new lifelong friends and improve your confidence for going out."

"Absolutely worth going to. It will open so many doors for your time at NTU."

"Best week of your life."

That last quote sums up Freshers Week pretty perfectly. It’s such a unique experience – don’t miss it!

Beware of Unofficial Events

🚨 If you see any events listed on websites or social media channels other than ours or NTU’s, please note that they are NOT official events. They typically offer poor value for money and are often promoted misleadingly. Stick to the official events listed on the links above to avoid disappointment.
