The results of the Nottingham Trent Students’ Union Trent Elections are in. Thank you to every student who took the time to vote and be part of the democratic process.
Your votes have helped elect the full-time Executive Officers who will represent NTU students and lead NTSU for the year ahead.
Joe Cormack has been elected as NTSU President. In this role, Joe will represent NTU students locally and nationally, working with the university and external partners to advocate on key student issues.
His priorities include improving the student experience, championing student safety, and ensuring students have access to opportunities during their time at NTU.
Katie Booth has been elected as Vice President Education. Katie will represent students on academic matters, working with the university to ensure teaching, learning, and assessment reflect student needs.
Her role will focus on strengthening student voice, improving communication between students and staff, and supporting students to succeed academically.
Angeline Smith has been elected as Vice President Societies & Sports. Angeline will support the development of student societies and sports clubs across NTU.
Her focus will include strengthening engagement across clubs and societies, promoting inclusive participation, and supporting student leaders who run these groups.
Mischa Dooley has been elected as Vice President Community & Welfare. In this role, Mischa will focus on student wellbeing, community building, and ensuring students feel safe and supported during their time at NTU.
Key priorities include promoting wellbeing initiatives, raising awareness of support services, and helping students navigate challenges such as housing and cost of living.
Congratulations to all of the elected officers. They will begin their roles later this year and work with NTSU and NTU to represent students and improve the student experience.
