Bristol is a quirky British city with beautiful hilly vistas and plenty of historic sights to explore. Anyone interested in ships will have a blast aboard Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the world’s first great oceanliner, and the Matthew, a replica of the ship upon which John Cabot sailed to America in the 15th century. The graceful Clifton Suspension Bridge is another must-see.  
 

This trip is a self-guided trip, which means that it’s completely up to you how you wish to spend your day in Bristol! In case you are stumped for ideas, we have included some below to inspire you for your Bristol adventure.  

 
There’s also several free Museums and art galleries to visit in Bristol, like the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, the Georgian House Museum, Red Lodge Museum, Blaise Castle House Museum and Estate, the Martin Parr Foundation exhibition, and the Palestine Museum and Cultural Centre, just to name a few.  
 
You can also find a Banksy self-guided walking tour here which takes you past some of Banksy’s most famous Bristol and is a unique way of discovering the city. If a Banksy Walking Tour is not your cup of tea, there are plenty of other street artist whose work is on display in the city!

What do I need to bring? 

• Your ticket! 

• Appropriate clothing for the weather on the day 

• Any spending money you want 

• A rucksack 

• A bottle of water 

• Your phone and a battery pack!  

 

Your ticket does not include the price of lunch, so we would recommend bring a packed lunch or money to buy lunch.  

Instructions for ticket holders: 

• Arrive at the pick-up location at least 15 minutes before the stated departure time. This allows us to keep the trip on schedule. 

• Have your ticket ready for inspection. This can either be a physical copy collected from the Box Office or an email confirmation. 

• Please be dressed appropriately for the weather conditions 

• Be advised that the coaches will be leaving promptly at the coach pick up point at 6pm. 

• Our driver will not wait for you if you are late. They will leave in the morning at the specified pick-up time, and again the departure point at 6pm. If you miss the return coach, you will have to utilise public transport options to return to Nottingham.
