Are you a member of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally looking to learn more? Want to be inspired and empowered by a diverse panel of PHD students who are tackling heteronormativity in their ongoing research? Then we invite you to join our discussion as we challenge heteronormativity in our history.
Hosted by our Gender and Sexuality Chairs, 4 external PHD students will present a 10-minute presentation about their ongoing research exploring LGBTQ+ identities in history. They will be discussing subjects from LGBTQ+ identities in our very own Nottingham Castle and the history of Drag in the Midlands, as well as exploring gender-nonconformity from the 1970s to the present day and identities in the gaming world through an oral history lens.

After their presentations there will be a Q&A opportunity and 30-minute panel discussion where you can ask further questions about their work and share your own thoughts and opinions. Only then to be closed off with free pizza and a chance to network.
