Fundraising Volunteer- Nottingham Refugee Forum

If you are interested in taking part in some general 'do good' volunteering then this is opportunitiy for you!

The Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum need volunteers to help with bag packing at ASDA.

The bag packing is a way of raising funds for NNRF’s Anti-Destitution Group, which is supporting destitute refused asylum seekers by offering small grants (monthly) and food & personal items (weekly). Destitute refused asylum seekers do not receive any form of support from the UK government, which is why NNRF’s efforts are of key importance in preventing hunger, homelessness and social isolation.

Volunteers will be provided with an induction into the NNRF with information on the Anti-destitution fund and the importance of it. Before the start of each shift, volunteers receive instructions on how to pack bags in a most efficient way and are reminded of the code of conduct (agreed between NNRF and ASDA). If the role develops to further forms of fundraising, additional training will be provided.
