Are you new to the UK or Nottingham?

Want to know a bit more about Nottingham and British culture? What might some of the similarities and differences be with the culture you’re used to? Come to this event to find out more about some of the local ways of doing things, learn some interesting facts about your new home, such as the legend of Robin Hood and some great places to explore.

We’ll also give you some tips about settling in to your new home and you you’ll have the chance to meet other students. Snacks and refreshments will be provided and you can even take part in a fun quiz!

The Global Lounges are your spaces on campus and online where you can find out about international opportunities on and off campus; to celebrate, take part in and organise cultural events; and to relax and make friends from around the world. These spaces are open to everyone at NTU, NTIC and Confetti, wherever you’re from and you’re always welcome to join one of our events or activities, or just come in to relax with a free hot drink.

No booking required, just turn up! If you’re unsure how to find Clifton Global Lounge, just come to the Welcome Information Point at the entrance to Pavilion and we’ll show you the way!
